What's New!
Receiver in the ear (RITE) is a new and highly effective method that has helped many people hear sounds more clearly without making sound a lot louder like the older traditional hearing aids. By placing the speaker deep in the ear canal a person uses less power which can reduce feedback and occlusion or that feeling like your head is stuffed up. We suggest you give it a try for free.

BlueTooth is a wireless communication that allows the hearing aids to interact with many of the devices we use today. (cell phones, home phones, TV’s, and even the Ipod) Ask us about these features and we will be happy to demonstrate them to you.

Two new types of hearing aids that have been recently introduced address the issues of comfort and occlusion.  Although these aids look similar, each one has its own features and benefits.  We have fit both of these aids on many patients.  Both fit deep inside the ear canal, and both have proved to be very comfortable.  The Oticon Delta BTE is a small BTE with a soft tip covering the speaker which is inside your ear.  By placing the speaker deep in the canal a person uses less power which can reduce feedback and occlusion.  The Open BTE from Sonic Innovations has a soft flexible tip that holds the tube deep in the canal with minimal contact.  Usually used for high frequency losses it leaves the ear open so that sound can come in and out of the ear naturally and the hearing aid can accentuate the high frequencies that are needed.  Each of these aids can be fit the same day of the test because they do not use a custom ear piece.  Usually a person will know within a day or two how much they can benefit from one of these products.  We suggest you give it a try for free.

Now we can fit your hearing aids to your hearing loss using real life speech or environmental noise.  We place a mini microphone in the ear canal and adjust the hearing aid while it is in your ear.  We can adjust the aid to a spouses voice and even simulate how the person hearing without a hearing aid for the spouse or family members.  What this means for you is that the initial fitting is closer to where it should be and we have eliminated the way most companies fit hearing aids which is a lot like guessing.
